Pre-Event Build
Date: May 2, 2025 (Friday)
Time: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Pre Event volunteers set up tents and fence lines in Festival, and mark the course. If you’d like to see the behind the scenes of what goes into putting on a 5k, this is the perfect shift for you!
Pre-Event Packet Pick Up

Time: 2:30 - 7:00pm

Pre-Event Packet Pick Up Volunteers will join staff at off-site locations (TBD) in the Tampa area to check in racers, answer questions and provide racers with their race packets (training provided). If you’re good with computers and don't mind chatting with excited racers for a few hours, this is the perfect shift for you!
Event Day Full Day
Date: May 4, 2025 (Sunday)
Time: 7:00am - 7:00pm
Location: Raymond James Stadium, 4201 N. Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, Florida 33607
Full Event Day volunteers help with race day operations at the start corral, finish line, bag check, and other festival activities. After the festival closes, help with breakdown of tables, tents, and fencing. If you want front-row action for the 2BEARS events, this shift is for you!

Event Day Morning
Date: May 4th 2025 (Sunday)
Time: 6:00am - 1:30pm

Morning volunteers support the Festival Team during race day morning operations. This includes the start corral, finish line, and bag checks.

Afternoon volunteers assist during the latter half of race day, maintaining festival operations and participating in breakdown once the event concludes.

Volunteering at the 2BEARS 5K comes with a variety of perks, including a free t-shirt, lunch and snacks during your shift, and one free race registration to a future event (100% off code valid for 2025 or 2026 US Spartan or Tough Mudder events) !

How will I receive my race discount after my volunteer shift?

Where do I check in to volunteer at the 2BEARS 5K?
Volunteer check-in will occur at a designated tent near the registration area. Specific location details will be updated closer to the event date, based on the final event map.
Can I volunteer and run the 5K on the same day?
Yes! Volunteers that would like to get in on all the action - volunteering AND completing the 5K - can sign up to volunteer during the Event Day Morning shift and then participate in the 5K during the last heat of the day (early afternoon).
Do I have to volunteer for my entire shift?
Yes, to receive the full benefits and perks of volunteering, you must be present for the entire duration of your assigned shift.
Can I volunteer with my friend?
Yes! Friends can sign up for the same shift and request to be stationed near each other. While placement together cannot be guaranteed for the entire event, efforts will be made to accommodate your group.
Will food be provided during my volunteer shift?
All volunteers will receive a lunch voucher, and snacks will be available at the volunteer tent. You are also encouraged to bring your own snacks and water bottle.
What should I wear to my volunteer shift?
Dress in layers suitable for all weather conditions, wear close-toed shoes for comfort and safety, and you will be provided a t-shirt upon arrival.
How old do I have to be to volunteer?
Volunteers must be 14 years or older. Those under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian. Volunteers 18 and older can participate without a guardian.
Can I bring my dog with me to volunteer?
Only service dogs are permitted at the venue during the event.
Will there be volunteer parking available?
Parking details will be confirmed closer to the event date. Volunteers will receive specific parking information once finalized.
